slow battery drain
i have a 95 rodeo. i took it to auto zone and they said the battery was good but the alt was only putting out 42amps this IS charging the battery but after a day of sitting it has to have a jump to get going after that it will start right up. until i let it sit for more than 12 hours or so
any ideas |
Disconnect the negative battery cable @ the battery,
connect a DC Voltmeter between the negative post of the battery and the disconnected cable. If it shows 12 V then there is a load which causes the battery drain. remove one fuse at a time and see which circuit is draining the battery! When the Voltmeter shows Zero Volts, you have identified the drain, repair as needed ! |
but isnt there the radio that always has a load caus of the clock
and the ecm memory? |
it was the battery!!

I suggest check the battery again.Based on what you said,i think the battery has something to do with this issue.
