i have a 94 rodeo and i was told by an oil change guy that they are notorious for burning oil is there anyway to fix that?

''94 models usually dont have much of an issue with burning oil. They can but mostly its the ''98+ engines that are well known for it. You can avoid burning issues and clear up existing ones by keeping the EGR valve and tubes clean, and use oil with a good cleaning package. Shell Rotella T synthetic diesel/auto oil is most recommended. I run valvoline maxlife synthetic and use seafoam before oil changes.
HERE is some good info on the cause and cure of oil burning from a retired Isuzu mechanic instructor of over 20 yrs. |
Hi Gizmo, thanks for the information on the link, I will do it on My rodeo. REGARDS.... |
