question about timing on 3.2 rodeo
#1
hello friends my name is doc callahan i have a shop in greensboro nc and i have a 99 rodeo that came in as a no start in diagnosing i found that the left bank cams were opening the valves at about the same time with no obvious problem to cause this the timing belt was dead on its marks right bank had 125 compression in all 3 cyls but the left bank has only 50 on one cylinder the other 2 have 0i see no reason for this to be except for the cams turning on the actual cam gears themselves i dont want to put it back together unless i can pinpoint a reason this happened any help would be greatly appreciated

the pin(dowel) probly came out of the cam, pull the timmingbelt or relive the tension, then see if the dowel on the cam is loos, probly needs to be glued back in, us jb or epoxy, or if you can tig/ braze it.
