Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I come to you with a question. I have a 1997 Rodeo with the V6. My oil pressure gauge stopped working a long time ago. I had a mechanic friend check out everything to make sure I still had oil pressure and what not. He told me the sending unit was bad and needs to be replaced. So now its come time to sell the rodeo and pick up something different, and I want to fix the gauge before I do so. I have the sending unit, and i'm a very, very mechanically inclined person, just not much of a car guy. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to/where I change the oil pressure sending unit.

Thanks a lot for any help!

It is mounted on the oil filter adapter. very easy to get to under the vech. Should be no problem.

Thanks I actually found it earlier today, but turns out the auto part store gave me the oil pressure switch, instead of the sending unit. I think i'm just gonna let it be. I'm trading it in next week I think. I'm gonna pick up an '02 BMW 325i (I know big change) lol. Can't pass up the deal though it's fully loaded, and has only 13k miles. And I can get it for about $14k. Its nice to be friends with the daughter, of the owner of a car dealership. hehe
