I was wondering if the headlight assembly and tail light assembly from a 2001 Rodeo will be a direct fit on my 1998 Rodeo. Has anyone swapped these out?

Haven't tried it so don't really know.

But, the parts lists show three different part #'s for the headlights from '98-2001 and two different part #'s for the tail light assemblies over that period. So unless someone else can advise who's actually done it, or unless you can get the '01's for a song, or they are returnable,. . .

Good luck.

Tail lights are a direct swap.

Headlights are shapped different so either the grill will have to be cut to fit or, if you want to also swap the newer grill, you will also need to swap bumpers as the grills on new ones dip down in the middle unlike the 98-99s which are straight across.

Yea, I was looking at my friends and I was noticing a difference. The reason I wanted the headlights to be swapped out was I wanted the clear lense for my h.i.d. kit. Unless there is an aftermarket set offered for the 98-99's. Does anyone know of that?

None that I know of. Thought about e-code lights used in europe but I dont know if they are clear or fluted.
