Default Fuel Pump fuse keeps blowing!

Where to begin? (96 Isuzu, 100K)

We have been dealing with this issue for 3 months now. Back at the start, my wife stopped and then the vehicle would not start. Had it towed and they put a new fuel pump in. Got it home....3 days later.....would not start. Took back in and they said the fuse had blown. Replaced the fuse....drove it around....they said to come pick it up. Day later....blown fuse in traffic!

It went back in and I demanded it be fixed. They came back saying they needed to replace the assembly and relay. We got the vehicle back a few days later.....the fuse blew again. In traffic. On freeway.

I carried extra fuses just in case. Put one in....drove 3 feet....blew again. This happened with 8 fuses in a row in a span of about 5 minutes.

Went back to shop...they said it must be a wiring issue. They kept for a wek and tried to get it to blow. They drove it around....would not blow. They taped up a few wires, did this and that....said it should be fine. Took it home....4 days later.....fuse blows. In traffic.

They sent it to an "electrical specialist". He kept for 3 days....could nor get to blow....could not find anything. Said it HAS to happen while he drives it or he can'r help. Really? We took it home. Was fine for a week. Today it blew over and over and over again. I managed to get it home.....and here is where it sites. We are afraid to drive it anywhere. Somebody could die like this.

Original garage gave me FULL refund of $1,200 and I ended up with a new pump, assembly, battery and relay. it still will not run without blowing the 15 amp fuel pump fuse.

Where do I go from here? Everything else on this "old" vehicle is new and the car runs wonderful when not blowing fuse.

Thoughts? It does sound like a wire touching the body somewhere, yes?

amazing how in the year 2012, we can't find one person that can fix this problem. Have we really only come this far in all these years? We can make them and have other countries build'em....but can't find and fix a wire. Shall I ship it to the the far East?

anyone? is everyone baffled? That is far from a shock. The best minds in the auto repair business can't figure it out. There is something very odd about that. Are there any pit road mechanics from Nascar on here.... because I KNOW you could fix the problem in a 7 second pit stop. I have $800 just sitting here waiting to pay someone to fix the issue. What gives? Is it just because I live in Dead Moines?

Now the ECM fuse keeps blowing. I'll change the fuse, keep the hood open and watch while truck is running....sparks at ECM fuse and dies. WTF? Is there anyone in Dead Moines who can actually fix this issue? We DO learn about this in mecahnic school and training, yes? I see this happens a lot to other people as well...so I find it hard to believe that it is so difficult that people give up. I'm not giving up becase I know it will just take a resonably intelligent mecahnic to repair it. The problem is...are there any living in Iowa?
