Is it common for the exhaust manifold to crack on the 1999, 2.2L Rodeo''s, I took off the shield, mostly for the hell of it, and discovered the crack along the top. (wish I didn''t do it)With the engine cold, being the genius that I am, Ifilled the crack with some JB weld, replaced the shield and called her good.

Thinking about it though, metal expands when hot.......how much good did I really do? How cheap are''ntthese exhaust manifolds?

The exhaust note hasn''t changed too much, worth changing? Any potential future damage?

Thanks.

why not just yank it off, pre heat the hell out of it since is cast, and weld it back together? thats what i did with mine on my rodeo, but i customized the hell out of it for a new exhaust system, but just weld it, quick, simple easy, just remember to pre heat, and at the end of the crack on both sides, take a small drill but, and drill the ends out to prevent any further cracking, and when its all done being welded. slowly cool it down, just use a map gas torch, and slowly lower the heat.
