engine swap nightmare
Recently bought 1994 Rodeo.I knew it had a motor swap,found it has a 1994
trooper motor.I kept having more issues[missing,hard start,bad mileage],then
Saturday when it turned cold,no start!!Replaced cps.Got to thinking, and checked.Ecm is for 6 cyl rodeo single cam, motor is trooper 6 cyl dual cam.
Ecm appears cooked. If I get an ecm for trooper will it be compatible with rodeo harness? HELP!!!

What they meant was it sucks for what you pay for it. And as for an engine swap you can swap just about any engine if you know what you are doing. The best way to go is get a crate engine and a new ignition system and make it carbureted. And of course you would have to change the trans and drive shaft. It would be a huge pain with a car like that, there is a whole lot of electrical.
