Default Electrical Short Issue - Blower Motor

1997 Rodeo, V6, 4x4. Having a problem with wiring to the Heat A/C blower. Wire is not always having power leading into the blower. However, it does sometimes and when it does, it blows the fuse.

Have purchased a new resistor for the blower motor. Blower motor works with other power source than designated wire.

Old resistor's points look melted/pinched/corroded.

With new resistor plugged in, fuse blew immediately. Now with new fuse, there's no power coming in to the blower motor/resistor at all.

Thoughts on what is causing this electrical demon?

Thanks!!!!
