Waste of money. You are still pulling the same amount of air that can only hold so much fuel in it, even though the computer thinks its colder and denser then it is. All you really end up doing is using more gas and causing more problems, dont really get much if any power gain.
The only real way to get some gain from the ecu is to have it reprogramed (if you've done intake and exhaust mods). Jet Performance does reprograming but it isnt cheap. Have to send them the ECU and they have to unsolder the chip from the board, program it, then solder it back in.
