Biting off More than i can chew.. Advice??
Ok..
I have a 96 honda passport (same truck 'cept badging) with the 4 cylinder, manual gear box and 2w drive (base model). I might be able to get a 97 rodeo v6, auto, 4w drive, that has some major electrical problems and some body damage.
What i i want out of this is to have 4wheel drive with the manual trans.
What would be the easiest swap... Adding the transfer case and front axel and hubs to my honda, or putting the manual trans in the izusu and doing a body swap????
Also what issues am i likely to run into on this type, scope, of work.
--Is the transfer case the same on the manual and auto... (or is it the same manual trans in the 4wd models)???
Will the V6 bolt right up to the stock 5 speed trans...
Are the wiring harnesses compatible or will i have to transfer all of the wiring across...
and will i need to use the computer from the V6 for the V6 (probably) or do they use the same components..
Any advice on these issues and any others that may crop up (or that have come up for those that may have done similar stuff before) would be greatly appreciated
