< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" =text/> </>Any suggestions on how to remove #6 ignition coil rubber boot for2002 Rodeo 4wd 3.2V6. The ignition coils for #1 to #5 spark plugs were removed easily (long type ignition coil assemblies). However, #6 being a short type ignition coil assembly would not release. I removed the module and spayed WD40 on the ignition connector as well as between the boot and the head. < =text/> _uacct = "UA-939292-44"; urchinTracker(); </>

That one always seems to be the one that sticks on '01 and '02 rodeos. What I've heard work is lots of penetrating oil (try to get something in there to help pull the rubber away to let the oil get in) then 100 psi of air down the center if you have an air compressor. Also heard of using string or wire to loop under the bottom and tugging with lots of penetrating oil and patience.

If you rip it Advanced Auto Parts have replacement ones for about $9 ( LINKY ) It says boot set but that one is just the #6 boot. It may not come with the spring in the center that makes the connection so you might have to reuse your old one.
