Can anyone help me with this issue. The dealer says I ned a high pressure fuel pump which is located at the back of the engine. I have a 2004 3.5l direct injection engine.

How hard is this to replace and any ideas where I can find one. The dealer wants $1100 for it.

RockAuto.com seems to havea Bosch for $452. Although it isn't perfectly clear this is the high-pressure direct injection pump.

Can't say how difficult it would be to replace on a 2004, however.

Are you sure it won't be covered under the 2005 Isuzu fuel pump recall? Good Luck.

It might still be covered under warrenty if you are still within the warranty period. I think the fuel pump might be considered drivetrain. Factory warranty is 10 years/120,000 miles on the powertrain and three years/50,000 miles on the rest.

Warranty is half for 2nd owner.

Hello fellow ZU owners I’m planning on rebuilding it vs trying to find a used one.
