2000 Rodeo won't switch back from 4WD to 2WD???

Anyone ever have this problem: my 2000 Rodeo refuses to switch back to 2WD after I put it into 4WD during a snowstorm. I have tried putting the car into reverse and switching from 4WD. Thanks for any help!
