Default 2000 Rodeo shaking on take off

2000 Honda Passport ( Isuzu Rodeo ) 4 wheel drive. It set a code for FTP sensor. I haven't had time to replace the sensor yet and now the car is shaking real bad when you start from a dead stop. It shifts fine and drives fine once up to speed, but the shaking is getting worse. I don't see a dipstick to check the trans fluid, is it a plug on the side of the trans or is it a sealed unit?
I was hoping it may be due to the FTP sensor but it is wierd it is fine at highway speeds. Maybe a bad Torque Converter? I really could use some help.
Thanks
Kevin

I am going to crawl underneath the car and see if there is a fill plug on the side of the trans. Maybe low on trans fluid???? Anyone have any ideas? If it was a bad torque converter wouldn't it be difficult to shift in the higher gears? Once you hit 10-15 mph it drives fine, it's just when taking off. Any help is appreciated.

I could not locate a fill plug for the trans anywhere. There is a fill plug for the transfer case but not for the trans. The only thing I could find was two bolts on the trans plan, the lower is obviously the drain and I am assuming the upper may be the fill but I want someone to verify this before I back out the plug. Here is a pic.

Does anyone know what the correct ATF is for these things? This is nothing but a Rodeo with Honda badges, somebody has to be able to help me.
Thanks
NCH

I reckon nobody on here has ever changed their own ATF. But I still thought I would post what I have learned, maybe it will help someone else. The upper plug on the pan is the fill plug. You have to pump the fluid in until it runs out, just like a rear diff. Engine running and in N. Also the correct fluid is Mercon/ Dexron III . like I said I hope it helps someone. If anyone has any other ideas on the shaking please let me know.
Thanks
