Hello,
I have a 1994 rodeo with a 3.2 and 4x4. The car has been sitting for a few
months and now that I have it I have noticed a hesitation under acceleration
till about 2500 rpm. Then it revs fine. I replaced the plugs with platinum's
and changed the fuel filter. Both with no luck. I removed the air filter and
tube and sprayed a bit of fuel injector cleaner into the butterfly. It the acted
normal. I am thinking the MAP or MAF sensor, not sure which this truck has,
but no codes being thrown by the computer. Any help would be great.

I just went through the hesitation blues, 4 fuel filters, wires, plugs, cleaned maf or map whichever, even scraped the carbon out of the intake, with a spoon! air filter, ready to rip off the manifolds and pull the injectors, then for some reason, I tried changing out he coil pack!! It came to life, regained it's power, no more shudder, no more hesitation, did I mention fuel inj cleaners, seafoam, stp, marvel mystery oil? Hi test fuel, nothing, coils!!! That is my story, 94 rodeo, 250,000 miles!!!

I would say do a full seafoam treatment first, its the cheapest way to start, and if it doesnt fix the problem , nothing is lost, its 10 bucks well invested as it will at least clean out something that probably needed it anyway. I've seen seafoam remove hesitation in more than one vehicle. seeing as it sat a while, may be worth a shot to give it a try.
