02 Rodeo Parking Brake

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to adjust the parking brake on my 02 Rodeo? Recently had my rear brakes and rotors replaced by a friend who said he had a hard time getting the rotors off and that he had to mess with the emergency brakes to get the new rotors on. Now my parking brake doesn't work very well. Can anyone help me please?
