White "smoke" -Block Sealer for 1988 2.3l
I know there are a lot of professionals out there who are going to choke at this but...
I have a 1988 2.3L 175K miles. Started pouring white "smoke" and going through 1 Gal of coolant every 60 miles. Reman engine is about $2000 so I thought I would try some Block Sealer from the auto parts store. (I used K&W made by CRC) Guess what? It worked! No water vapor smoke and haven't added a drop of coolant in 2500 miles. Don't know how long it will hold but it kept my little truck on the road until I can find a suitable remanufactured engine.
