not running good...
Hey guys, Im new here and have a few questions. I
have been in the chevy world for a while now but my newest project is a
93 isuzu. I bought the truck for $300 with a perfect body and
interior but not running. I bought it from the owner of a towing
company/repair shop. He towed the truck in to fix it over 3 years
ago and the guy never paid for it so its just been sitting. All
he could tell me was that it wouldnt fire. After playing with it
for a while I traced the problem to being no power at the coil and
found a loose connection on the back of the fuse box. I drained
the gas tank and it was definetly very old gas. Put some fresh
gas in it and had to use starting fluid but it started up. It ran
real rough and wouldnt idle. After some carb cleaner and some seafoam
it runs a little bit better, but still wont come close to
idleing. I know I have some vac. leaks and I have been testing it
with out the intake on it which means the sensors that have to have vac
on the intake werent hooked up.
You guys think it is more likely a vac problem, fuel
problem (filter, dirty carb, etc.), or an ignition problem. I
know some vehicles arent affected to much by vac problems and leaks,
what about these trucks. Are they real touchy?
Thanks in advance guys.
