Found places to get a Weber replacement carb. Thinking of getting the electronic choke model to replace my OEM carb on my 92 pickup. Anyone have any experience with this? Is it worth it?

Yeah, I repalced my carb on a 93 Isuzu Pickup with a weber with electric choke. It made all the difference in the world with power, but also sucked more gas. The problem was though, the adapterplates they shipped to match up the bolt patterns. Basically you had 3 gaskets between the carb and the intake and I blew the top one twice. I finally cut my own gasket and didnt have any more problems. It did take a while to get the fuel air mixture adj. properly so it wouldnt backfire when you first cranked it up. It was kinda funny waking all the neighbors up at 5 in the mourning. Hope this is helpful.

Weber carb
Yeah the weber carb is great compared to the factory hitachi carb my truck had. I still haven't gotten the fuel mixture straightened out though. She runs a little rich and it counts when the truck uses more gas with the swap anyway.
