Ok so i just bought an 89 1-ton isuzu pickup 1.6L for $350. It is actually in remarkably good shape, but it wont start. the engine cranks fine, but there is no spark. I checked all the basic things and eventually found that i have no voltage to the ignition coil. I am wondering if this could be the ignition switch, the ecu, a relay, or just a short somewhere? i don't want to start throwing money into parts until i'm sure what the problem is. Someone did some funky wiring modifications under the dash and im wondering if this could have some thing to do with it. Does anyone know where to find wiring diagrams for this truck? Are there any common issues i should know about? Any advice on where to go from here would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

Check and see if you have an ignition coil fuse. I had mine blow couple days ago in my 04 axiom and mine wouldn't start. Still having stalling issue though.
