Nexiq USBLink: Wireless or Cable?

I have everything set up with my Toughbook and the Nexiq 3 USB Link works fine with a cable. The Toughbook has built in Bluetooth but Nexiq recommends using a Bluetooth dongle. I prefer the convenience of a wireless connection to avoid tripping over cables but have heard concerns about possible data loss with a wireless connection.

What do you think? Any advice on whether I should stick with cable or go wireless?
