JPRO Software – Quick Access Guide
1. Launching the Software Double-click the JPRO icon on your desktop. Ensure your communication adapter (e.g., NEXIQ USB-Link 2 or 3, DG DPA5) is connected to the vehicle’s diagnostic port (6-pin, 9-pin, or OBDII). JPRO will automatically detect the vehicle’s ECMs and start scanning. 2. Key Diagnostic Functions Once connected, you can access: Fault Code Scan: Automatically retrieves fault codes from all modules (Engine, ABS, Transmission, Body, etc.) Fault Guidance: One-click access to repair info, wiring diagrams, and fault descriptions. Live Data Monitoring: View real-time data streams like RPM, coolant temp, fuel pressure, EGR position, etc. Bi-Directional Controls (if supported): Force DPF regen, activate solenoids, control fans, etc. Data Recording: Log parameters while driving for later analysis. Vehicle Configuration: Read and in some cases modify select ECM parameters. 3. Supported Systems JPRO works with all major heavy-duty brands: Cummins, Detroit Diesel, PACCAR, Navistar, Volvo/Mack, Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, International, Isuzu, Hino, etc. 4. Integrated Features VMRS Fault Code Mapping Component Lookup OEM Fault Code Links (some include direct links to Cummins INSITE, Detroit Diagnostic Link, etc.) Repair Path™ (Guided troubleshooting for select faults) 5. Quick Tips Always update JPRO to the latest version to ensure full support for newer trucks. Use a verified adapter for full functionality. If JPRO doesn’t auto-connect, manually select your COM port and adapter. For best results, run as Administrator. |
