JPRO Software – Quick Access Guide
JPRO Software – Quick Access Guide
1. Launching the Software
Double-click the JPRO icon on your desktop.
Ensure your communication adapter (e.g., NEXIQ USB-Link 2 or 3, DG DPA5) is connected to the vehicle’s diagnostic port (6-pin, 9-pin, or OBDII).
JPRO will automatically detect the vehicle’s ECMs and start scanning.
2. Key Diagnostic Functions
Once connected, you can access:
Fault Code Scan: Automatically retrieves fault codes from all modules (Engine, ABS, Transmission, Body, etc.)
Fault Guidance: One-click access to repair info, wiring diagrams, and fault descriptions.
Live Data Monitoring: View real-time data streams like RPM, coolant temp, fuel pressure, EGR position, etc.
Bi-Directional Controls (if supported): Force DPF regen, activate solenoids, control fans, etc.
Data Recording: Log parameters while driving for later analysis.
Vehicle Configuration: Read and in some cases modify select ECM parameters.
3. Supported Systems
JPRO works with all major heavy-duty brands:
Cummins, Detroit Diesel, PACCAR, Navistar, Volvo/Mack, Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, International, Isuzu, Hino, etc.
4. Integrated Features
VMRS Fault Code Mapping
Component Lookup
OEM Fault Code Links (some include direct links to Cummins INSITE, Detroit Diagnostic Link, etc.)
Repair Path™ (Guided troubleshooting for select faults)
5. Quick Tips
Always update JPRO to the latest version to ensure full support for newer trucks.
Use a verified adapter for full functionality.
If JPRO doesn’t auto-connect, manually select your COM port and adapter.
For best results, run as Administrator.
