JCB DLA 2 / NEXIQ USB LINK2 Recommendation
 

Hi everyone, I am looking to purchase a

JCB diagnostic interface and have come across information on the JCB DLA2 and the Nexiq USB LINK 2. From what I have read, they are both identical and compatible with JCB ServiceMaster. I am leaning towards buying the Nexiq USB LINK 2 as it also supports Cummins Insite which is what I need. However, I have discovered that the Nexiq LINK 2 is no longer being manufactured and has been replaced by the Nexiq LINK 3. I have a few questions for those of you familiar with or using the

Nexiq LINK 2:

1. Firmware Requirements:
- Does Nexiq LINK 2 need special firmware to work with ServiceMaster or just the correct driver?

2. Nexiq LINK 3 Compatibility:
- If I can't get Nexiq LINK 2, does JCB ServiceMaster support Nexiq LINK 3?

3. Chinese Nexiq LINK 2 Clones:
- Are Chinese Nexiq LINK 2 Clones worth considering? Are there any known issues with the drivers or firmware for these clones?

4. Vocom Interface with ServiceMaster:
- Has anyone successfully used the Vocom interface with JCB ServiceMaster?

5. Alternative Interfaces:
- Are there any other interfaces that will work with ServiceMaster? I've heard that PCAN USB could be an option.

Any advice or insight would be much appreciated.
