Egyptian Cotton Bedding
 

I am planning to upgrade the bedding in my entire house and decided to go for the best this time. Is Egyptian cotton the best and softest of all? I am going for separate sheets, covers, comfortors etc., as opposed to "bed-in-a-bag with pretty designs" which I had previously, so that I can select higher thread counts...what thread counts are considered the best in Egyptian cotton?
