Sounds like a lot of fun. However there are more than a few things to consider. More power means more stress for everything else: Transmission, Brakes, Suspension, and engine. Did you know that the engine oil galleys in the 3.2/3.5 engine are about as long as can be? It takes FOREVER for oil to flow and build pressure. A auto tech friend of mine had to pull his late model trooper engine apart to replace ruined internals-- even with low miles of 110K, and no apparent abuse from prior owners. I'd be concerned about proper oil flow...at least use full synthetic as a start (I do; Amsoil or Redline). Even in stock form these vehicles are on the verge of being dangerous: poor handling, spongy brakes, small tires, and vague steering are the main complaints from my wife and I. I'd be terrified with another 75-100hp w/o first addressing these issues listed, even with the stock power. So far, I've put on Bilsteins and EBC front rotors, PFC pads, and next are Goodridge brake lines, in hopes of keeping this rig safe. Those that think more power is the answer, may learn a hard lesson w/o first addressing this vehicles severe weak points. If not then a Honda Ridgeline will come to the rescue. My old 03 Tundra V8 4x4 TRD ( with Oe Bilstein shocks) would run circles around the Trooper in all categories, and handled so well i could throttle on power slide it with coffee in hand, and wife enjoying the smooth tail out 'tude...please don't try this with a Trooper!!
