I recently purchased 2 troopers to get out of my Z71($65 every 3 days was killin me): One is a '90 4cyl, 5spd with 105k in excellent condition and the other is an '89 that has been rolled. The guy that owned the better one had like 5 so mine was missing some parts. That is why i bought the other one. Anyways, I spent this weekend swappin trans, pwr. steering, starters, a/c comp., radiator and a few other things. I got the old broken down gas out of the tank (or at least most of it) and it will start and run but not very good. The O2 light is on. could this be part of the problem? It reaches revs fine as long as you accelerate slowly, but if you put it to the floor it bogs, andwhile drivinit bucks really badly under these same conditions. Also, once i do get this bug worked out i would like to make some half doors out of the other set i have. Has anybody done anything like this on a 1st gen? Thanks in advance

Old gas is a bear. You need to flush out the injection system if not clean it out thoroughly.
