New Forum member and new Rodeo owner
 

Hello. I had a '96 Rodeo as my first real nice vehicle when I got out of college. I loved that thing. Put 140,000 miles on it. After getting married and soon before our first child we traded it in for a minivan. booo. Anyway, I just bought a 2004 this morning. It has the 3.5 engine. Paid very little for it as it apparently has a bad engine. The guy I bought it from though it was the timing belt because one day it just quit running. His mechanic started to take it apart and once he got the timing cover off saw that the timing belt was fine. So the owner decided to just sell it. I'm trailering it home Saturday. Hopefully it's just something simple. If not, I think I'll still be money ahead in the long run. Looking forward to exploring this forum and enjoying another Rodeo.

HI. Hoping you can tell me something about my '96 rodeo. It has a metal "vacuum line" Im guessing runs from the right side of the engine to the the intake manifold. Each end looks like it is to connect to rubber lines but I dont see what it could be. The bottom end looks like maybe it went to the rear of the car. Can you help me identify this?
