I new to the forum but not to Isuzu’s I have had 2 Luv trucks, 2 XCab trucks and one Trooper and my boyfriend has a Trooper also. I like the dependability and lower cost to purchase the Isuzu’s I think they are the best deal for the money out there.
One of the 96 Troopers has a strange problem with the heater a/c controls, at first if you switch the vent lever to the center or the fresh air the a/c would stop working now it just stopped all together. I do not think the a/c is the problem because before the vent lever thing started it was cold and working fine. Any ideas?
I see a lot of post about the lifters ticking both Trooper also tic and have 120,000 miles +, I was told by several mechanics that it was not adjustable and it is just the noise it will make until wares out completely. He said it really is not hurting anything to learn to live with it and use good oil 5w-30 and BG MOA additive every 2000 miles. I do notice that after a fresh oil change and the MOA it does get much quieter.
