I have a 92 isuzu pickup with the 2.6. The alternator went out and I didn't know what was wrong. I let a "friend" who claimed to know what he was doing, however didn't look at it and he pulled the distributor without finding tdc or anything. To make a long story short, I've replaced alternator and oil pressure switch, plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor and I reinstalled distributor and set time. Truck turns over but will not start and run.. any ideas???

 

Have you tried a new fuel pump or any of those fuses? I changed my fuel pump out before we realized it was the alternator, fuel pump won't run if the alternator isn't putting direct current to it, motor won't run with out fuel. Had to replace the fuel pump fuses and relay too.
