Isuzu 2.2 diesel swap

Hi everyone, new to this site and curious !:)
I have a 2.2 Isuzu diesel out of a 1985 chey S10. I am wondering if it will fit in a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo that currently has a 3.2 v6 gas and 5 speed trans. The 2.2 diesel is still attached to a 4 speed and i believe it is GM. Does anyone know if there is going to be issues with the crossover or the 5 speed trans bolt up or do i have to make an adapter plate ? Currious if anyone has attempted this ?
