I have a 1995 Rodio with the V6 engine and automatic transmission that I have owned for 15 years. This is the four wheel drive version and now has 116K miles and is in excellent condition however, as of late, I have a problem related to the transmission.
Occasionally, after coming to a stop, the transmission light on the dash will begin blinking and, upon acceleration, I find that it is in something other than low gear. I can move the shift lever back into low and manually shift while accelerating and all goes well however the light continues to blink and I must repeat the manual shift process at each subsequent stop. If, upon stopping, I turn the ignition switch off and restart the engine, the transmission functions normally and there is no flashing light. I took the vehicle to a reputable transmission shop however, I was told that there was no stored code to aid in identifying this problem. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
