The Jetta TDI's phenomenal range is not only remarkable but adds a layer of convenience as well. I didn't drive a Volkswagen Jetta TDI then, but it certainly would have made life easier. Since I recently took a drive that covered a little over 400 miles one way, I chronicled the micro events that transpire when you have no choice but to sit still for six hours (no stops for me this go around).
