Hi friends, I have fixed up a 92 4x4 by using a 91 2x4 that had hit a tree. Mine had over 300,000 km. on it and the wrecked on only had 137,000 so a motor swap was a great deal. The other day I locked the doors and slipped into to pick up a paper. When I came out my key would not unlock the driver's door. Ended up climbing over the gear shifts. The knob will not pull up on the inside so now I'm stuck climbing in and out thru the pass. door. Can't pull the door panel off tho I have tried since the way it fits keeps it inside the door jam for most of the edges. Shone a light down inside but can't see anything wrong except that the rod will only come up a little and then it is like a strong spring and will not unlock. Anyone else had this problem and no a solution. Thanks!!!
PS> Need this for all the snow we get up here in the cold cold North.

That happens on my '90 some times! What I've done is slip the tube on wd40 inside the door, and spray around the best I can. Then while my wife tries pulling up on the button, I keep trying with the key in the lock. After several attempts, it usually unlocks! I've talked to the local dealership, they're stumped! Give it a try, hope it works for ya!

isuzu has a service bullitin on that problem in colder climates, just lube your latches with a good oil or rust penetrant,an keep them well oiled, should help prevent the problem.

What's the DEAL?!?! Why's it getting so hard to get parts? Speedo cable went out on my '90 pickup 3 weeks ago, dealer keeps telling me it's backordered and Isuzu won't give them any idea when it will be in! AND, of course it's one of those " Factory Only" supplied parts!
