no you do not have to move the front diff.i would just put a long bar or a long extension across the torsion bars right underneath the trans bell housing,this keep the trans from droping to the ground,keeps it up right.then just lift the engine up an pull forward,an it will come right out.do the opposite when installing,the lower oil pan WILL lift up an over the differential.some pepole will lower the diff ,but it really not neccesary.there is a small 4 pin connector at the very top front of the trans bell housing,its part of the engine harness ,disconnect it .its wraped in foam tape.as you disconnect the o2 sensors an trans bolts look closley up there an you will see it.
