My son's 1993 Rodeo just developed a strong fuel smell that can be detected as you approach the vehicle. When you lift the hood, it is even worse. What could be causing this smell? No leaks are noticable. |
hard smells are usually caused by melting rubber hoses, a burning coolant, plugged </span>catatalytic converter, and leaks which you've said are not visible. or probably some problem with the fuel lines. those are just a few things to check.</span> Edited by: n0walker |
has it been getting very poor fuel mileage?
|
yes, the mileage was worse. I took it to a mechanic and he changed out a cracked fuel line. no more strong smell and a cheap fix $10.00. thanks |

wow..it was great to be such an easy fix!
