Slow Transmisson Engagement
#1
Have a 2000 Amigo and have had the Transmission rebuilt per a leak which caused slip/burnt fluid/transmission light to come on. I have noticed that after standing for a while (parked) that the tranny takes a few moments to engage in reverse or drive. I was told there is a technical notice about this where the fluid takes a moment to move when "cold" into place after the car has been sitting for a while and is normal. Can anyone confirm this or has the same symptom. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

I have that same symptom in my 1992 Rodeo but it happens only in the morning after sitting dead cold all night. Once it warms a bit symptom will disappear. My Rodeo has around 125k miles on it and the transmission has never been touched.
