Rims / Wheels
Can't find used rims for my 1990 2WD PU. Anybody happen to know what other vehicle wheels would fit? Mine has 14-inchers but 15-inchers would work.

dude go for the work shop and u could find right size of rims that will fit for ur car

Thanks for your suggestion but I brought the truck with me to Canada where that model is not sold, so tire shops, salvage yards, and former dealers have no listing for it.
That's why I hoped someone might know if rims off, say, a Trooper or Amigo would fit. The distance from one bolt-hole across to the opposite one (there are 6) is 5.5" and the diameter of the center-hole is 10.5cm but it looks like there'd be some wiggle-room on that. |
good post and it would help me lot thank you guys...

For new businesses investing in extravagantly pricey equipments might not be possible. Not just are these heavy equipments a little too costly but with newer and much more handy options obtainable; their investment can completely be avoided.

Hi guys,
good post and it would help me lot thanks |
Is the main requirement of posting to this thread some kind of mental impairment?

It seems that there is a lot of spam going on on here...
I think the 6 bolt rim pattern is standard... 6x5.50 or 6x139.7 I would try a wheel retailer website they should be able to give you all specifications for the wheels you need... There is no real wiggle room... You the center hole must have a tight fit on the hub, you should never mount wheels centered by the wheel nuts... I know the later model Trooper II come with 16 inch rims and are 8 inches wide... Good luck in your search... Luis |
Thanks Lui -- the only helpful response after over a year. The wiggle-room was the thought that if the hub-opening was a bit too small I could grind it out to fit.
The only used 6-bolt rims with winter tires on them I can find around here had been made for some GM trucks. Do you think they'd fit? (It's not just a matter of matching the holes but of offset, brake-parts clearance, etc., so seems to be a matter of trial-and-error.) |
