The question in detail is when you drive your car hard what RPM do you guys shift at? Does not matter what motor you have SOHC, DOHC, turbo whatever. When I push it in my car I sing that twin cam to 7000 RPM from 1st to 2nd then again from 2nd to 3rd. I dont do it often, in my old GSi I did that quite alot since I had it when I was younger. I trust these motors can take some beating.

 

I usually shift mine at 5k RPM but I have been driving standards for a very long time so its just natural to shift for me, you have to listen to the motor, and feel the car..
