Fuel Problems, Please Help
 

I have a 1999 Rodeo, my fuel gauge wasn't working so I bought a new fuel pump with a sending unit. I installed it but now it sometimes will start and other times it won't. I had to cut the original clip off and install the new one, the kit came with no instructions so I u tubed it and watched a guy on there wire it. I soldered the wires on. Could someone please confirm how this is supposed to be wired. I'm not even sure if that's the problem, could it be the regulator? Also the gauge works now but it will show the correct level upon startup and then slowly creep down to about half the true level.
If anyone out there has any ideas please, please let me know. Thank you, Dave.
