fuel problems
My '88 trooper will not start. It began sputtering on me a week ago while I was driving it. I replaced the fuel filter and got nothing. I replaced the fuel pump and still nothing. The fuel pump only seems to be getting 9volts. Is this an alternator problem? Wiring? I was also wondering if maybe this whole incident is related to a firing problem? Please help me out if you can.
Thanks guys and gals |
To be environmentally friendly wouldn't it make proper sense to use what's most available on the planet & what causes most threat to the safety of the human race.

It would make more sense to me if you(pashiwaneel) would take your ignorance some where else.
Back to the topic at hand. I would be more worried about your fuel pressure than the voltage. Even with only nine volts, it would still start. Is the fuel getting to the injectors? Do you have spark at the coil? Do you have spark at the plugs? A little more info would help. From your post, the mental picture I get is that it was running a little rough, so you worked on it and now it won't start. Undo what you did and see if it helps? |
