Engine high rev at start
 

We replaced an engine in a 2000 rodeo 8th digit in vin is a w the engine now revs to about 3000 rpm before it will go to idle upper and lower gaskets for the throttle body were replaced
code is for a heat sensor when we remove the heat sensor the engine will go to a good idle do you think replacing this sensor will solve the high idle start has anybody ever experienced this problem?

Hello everyone.

Pretty much the internal parts of the engine, it overheats, warps the head, lacks lubrication at that rpm and basically will fly apart!
Repair would most likely depending on damage done, require a complete engine overhaul.

171 ststem too lean bank 1
172 system too rich bank1
174 systemtoo lean bank 2
175 system too rich bank 2
151 o2 sensor circuit low voltage bank 2 sensor 1
101 mas or volume air flow circuit range/ performance problems
463 fuel system sensor circuit low voltage high input
175 system too rich bank 2

this engine is a replacement for the original we did not change the obd
