Does my camshaft need replaced?
 

Background

-The car is a 1999 Honda Passport 3.2L 4WD with 180k

-I've worked as a mechanic back in college and high school and have an engineering background, but this has me stumped

-My car wouldnt start at work, I did all the diagnosing I could there and couldnt figure it out, had to get it towed home. Checked compression and I had 0 compression on the driver side bank and around 90-120 on the passenger side bank

Where my mistakes start

-Tore down the engine to the timing belt, found the timing had jumped 10 teeth due to bolt in the tensioner pulley not being connected to anything

-Installed a new timing belt kit like I would with any other car (big mistake), and it would idle terribly and die, at the same time I had intermittent random cylinder misfire codes and TPS codes

-Tore the timing belt down and actually followed the correct procedure of clocking each cam until the rocker shafts were synchronized

Where I'm at now

-The engine now won't start at all, so I tore off the passenger side valve cover (the easier one to remove) and tried to use the timing dots on the rocker shaft gears to set the time.

-I also noticed that the passenger side cam gear was much easier to turn than the driver side cam, this might be unrelated but it did not have the typical "snap" a normal cam does if that makes sense

-The dots will not perfectly align and the exhaust cam gear looks like it isnt seated. Right now I'm think the exhaust cam gear locating pin sheared and made the exhaust camshaft slip by one tooth

Any help would seriously be appreciated, right now my wife is without a car until I can figure this out
