Drive a '95 Rodeo, 4wheel. Driving down the freeway, the gas gauge fell to empty and the car died. It would start and run for about 5 minutes (no problem with revving) but when in gear would buck back and forth. Towed to mechanic who replaced the fuel pump, gas tank and fuel filter. Still, when he starts it up, the gas gauge plummets and the engine dies. Any help would be appreciated at this point as I am stranded in Sacramento and trying to get home!
