Looking for alternate shocks
Hello,
I'm new to the forum. I bought my 2002 Axiom new. The shocks are working as well as when new (120k on the clock), but I have always been bothered by the fact that in the normal setting the vehicle is too bouncy and too harsh on the sport setting.
On interstate highways, the sport setting give great handling, but on bumpy residential and secondary roads it is too harsh. The normal setting is OK on interstate roads, but a bit mushy. On bumpy residential and secondary roads it wallows and bounces too much.
I'm looking for a compromise shock that still provides the responsive handling of the sport mode with a significant reduction in harshness. I should add that I don't mind omitting the dual setting option. Just looking for a fixed intermediate solution.
Any experience and suggestions will be appreciated.
