Hey I got post 200 up on Amigos, ya boy.. Anyways, I just bought my 1994 Isuzu Amigo, 5 speed, 152,000 miles.. Runs great.. But my concern is when I get into higher RPM's.. It squeeks a little, I also tried it in Nuetral and it does the same in higher RPM's. Not sure what it was, I oiled the belt with some WD-40, it stopped for a mile then started back up.. Anyone have any idea of what it may be??

If it went away AFTER you oiled the belt, it is the belt. WD40 is a poor lubricant, it has a very short life span and leaves no residual to lubricate. I would just adjust the belt tighter and see if that will get rid of the squeak. If not may be a bent pulley or a bad bearing, but it sounds like a loose fan belt to me. Good luck and please post what you find.

NO MORE SQUEEKS! Got a new alt/crank/fan belt.. And also a new power steering belt.. Also I changed the oil, differential fluids, and clutch fluids.. And took out the AC belt, figured I don't use it, and its blocking my alternator which I needed to get to, in order to change the belt.. So I did away with it. Now I have a minore problem and I am not sure what it is.. It has a rough Idle when in neutral, could it be I tightened the belt too much? Or does taking the air conditioning have something to do with it.. May it be something else? Please help me out!
