95 Trooper Check Transmission Light Help!
hey guys, i keep getting a check transmission light on my 95 trooper. i think its a 3.2L special edition.
I have already replaced the transmission. The old one ate some bearings cause there was shaving in the pan when i pulled it. Car has 194k miles and still driving pretty good. This transmission i have on there now is from a 200 i think. i picked it up from a local junkyard. it's a sealed transmission. when i put it in it was working fine. it had a check transmission light for a bit, but it went away till now.
The light comes on after maybe 15 mins of driving. after i cut it off and wait for a few seconds and turn the car back it the light will go away, but after i drive it for maybe 3 more mins the light will come back.
Thought maybe it's the transmission fluid? when it gets warm it will start slipping?
Also i read that you can use a OBDII scanner to read the transmission code. is that correct? thanks
