1988 trooper will not start when hot

if you have a 2.6 and it starts fine and then will not after it has run for a while and will start after an hour or so, here is the problem. there is a rubber o ring around the base of the distributor that is letting oil into your distributor. take the distributor out and take completly apart and clean thoroughly. oil will get on the led disc slots and the sensors cant read it. replace the o ring and reasemble. start and go have fun with your awsome trooper.
