Ok, I have a friend who has a 1994 Isuzu Trooper that has starting problems. From the sound of it, I'm inclined to believe it's power related, but I'm really not a mechanic. Sometimes the truck will start up fine, other times the starter seems very slow to turn. The starter turns slowly on random occasions but usually will start. There's no clicking, just slow turn over of the starter before it finally starts the truck. Thinking the original starter was bad, he replaced the starter w/ another from a junkyard, but this one has shown the same symptoms. The battery was also changed and tested. The voltmeter on the dash shows good voltage and it would appear the charging system is functioning fine. Is it possible this is an issue of an intermittent poor connection or short in the wiring somewhere? Any thoughts/suggestions for other possible causes would be greatly appreciated.
